About the Role
This full-time, remote position reports to the Clinical Manager of the SUD Program. The required hours are Monday-Friday from 1 PM – 9 PM EST (or equivalent in your time zone, e.g., 10 AM – 6 PM PST). As a Clinical SUD Navigator, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) through expert care coordination, assessment, and treatment recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls and follow-ups with individuals referred for substance use disorder treatment, demonstrating advanced engagement skills.
- Assess client needs and provide treatment options using motivational interviewing and other clinical techniques.
- Independently coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up care for seamless client experiences.
- Utilize knowledge of ASAM levels of care, contingency management, MAT, detox, and other SUD treatments to provide expert guidance.
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning using advanced clinical judgment.
- Maintain accurate client records within an EHR system and other tracking tools.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including provider operations and billing, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills.

Requirements
- Mental Health Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC with 2+ years of experience in substance use disorder (SUD) clinical care.
- Expertise in motivational interviewing, ASAM criteria, and best practices for SUD treatment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and embrace inclusion.
- Comfortable with technology platforms and electronic record systems.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- SUD licensure or certifications.
- Bilingual proficiency.
Compensation & Benefits
The target base salary range for this role is $33.33 – $42.31/hour, with a competitive total rewards package, including stock options and benefits. Pay may vary based on experience, location, and internal equity. We review compensation annually using the Radford Global Compensation Database to ensure fair and competitive pay.
