Senior Credit Manager

Job Description:
- Support the Senior Credit Officer (SCO) in optimizing capital resources and portfolio risk through Portfolio Standards and Risk Appetite principles.
- Approve Business Credit Applications within personal delegated authority.
- Manage underwriting and control disciplines to ensure turnaround times and compliance with credit risk policies.
- Develop stakeholder relationships and balance expectations.
- Maintain a strong credit culture, applying all credit policies.
- Provide timely input to risk forums and escalate key issues.
- Monitor portfolio quality and report excesses, breaches, and early alert indicators.
- Conduct customer visits to stay updated on market developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management
- Assist in formulating annual Risk Appetite and Portfolio Standards.
- Influence portfolio composition, escalate breaches, and recommend remedial action.
- Improve portfolio quality by targeting acceptable sectors and client segments.
- Analyze portfolio concentration and recommend rebalancing measures.
Governance
- Prepare monthly reports and stress tests for risk management.
- Monitor excess reports and regulatory submissions.
Credit Process Management
- Review and approve credit applications.
- Support daily transactions and special assets management.
- Train relationship managers and attend credit training sessions.
Risk Management
- Assess credit risk profiles and ensure alignment with risk appetite.
- Conduct stress tests and implement management response plans.
- Maintain risk control parameters and comply with regulations.
- Uphold the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Adhere to Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in banking with Corporate Banking Credit Risk Management.
- MBA, ACA, ACCA, CFA preferred.
- Proficiency in French and English.
- Knowledge of banking practices, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Multi-cultural awareness and good relations with regulators.
