Role Overview
As a Remote Content Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing cybersecurity training materials. This includes designing realistic lab environments, creating engaging eLearning content, and contributing to Blue Team Labs Online (BTLO), Interview & Assessment platforms, and ongoing research initiatives. While some tasks will be completed independently, the role primarily involves collaboration with the Director of Content and Principal/Senior Engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in offensive security, including exploit development, red team operations, and adversary emulation.
- Strong background in vulnerability research, exploit creation, and custom payload development for red team engagements.
- Expertise in attack simulations, adversary emulation, and offensive security training aligned with real-world threats.
- Proficiency with offensive toolsets such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, and C2 Frameworks (e.g., Cobalt Strike, Sliver, Mythic).
- Programming/scripting experience in Python, C, C++, Go, or PowerShell.
- Experience crafting offensive training materials, including CTFs, labs, and technical blog posts.
- Deep understanding of multi-stage attacks, evasion techniques, and living-off-the-land methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of defensive security concepts such as threat hunting, SIEM tuning, and incident response.
- Experience developing detections and alerts using platforms like Splunk, Elastic, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Familiarity with EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne) and log analysis techniques to detect post-exploitation behaviors.
Desirable Skills
- Active participation in Hack The Box, PwnedLabs, or Blue Team Labs Online.
- Industry certifications demonstrating commitment to professional development.

Stage 3: Strategic Interview
- Discuss your long-term vision for cybersecurity training.
- Explore strategies for scalable, engaging content development.
- Participate in a cultural and team fit assessment.
